This Privacy Policy applies to services provided by Develop Digital
Media, LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as
Service Anchor (collectively, “Service Anchor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
It explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information
when you visit getserviceanchor.com (the “Site”) or use the Service
Anchor platform (the “Service”).
By using the Site or the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Service.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy covers three categories of people.
- Visitors. Anyone who visits
getserviceanchor.comor reads our marketing content. - Customers. Businesses that sign up for Service Anchor and use the Service to operate their field service business.
- End customers. Individuals whose data is loaded into the Service by a Customer (for example, a homeowner whose phone number is saved by a junk removal operator using Service Anchor).
Different sections of this policy apply to different categories. Where relevant, we call out which category each section covers.
2. Two categories of personal data
We process two distinct categories of personal data, and our role is different for each.
Customer Data. Information you give us when you sign up for or use the Service as a Customer. Examples include your name, business email, business name, mailing address, phone number, and payment method on file. Service Anchor is the controller of Customer Data. We decide how and why Customer Data is processed.
End-Customer Data. Information a Customer loads into the Service about their own customers. Examples include an end customer’s name, address, phone number, job history, invoice amount, or the content of an SMS sent from the Customer to the end customer. Service Anchor is the processor of End-Customer Data. We process End-Customer Data only on behalf of the Customer who uploaded it and only to deliver the Service to that Customer. We do not sell End-Customer Data, do not use it for marketing, and do not combine it across Customers.
If you are an end customer of a Service Anchor Customer and want to know how your information is used, contact the Customer directly. They are the controller of your information. Service Anchor will support the Customer in responding to your request.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information when you sign up (name, business email, password, business name, phone number).
- Payment information when you enable billing (payment method is stored by our payment processor; see Section 5).
- Communication content when you contact support, book a demo, or fill out a form on the Site.
- Usage information you enter into the Service, including job pipeline entries, invoices, customer records, and SMS templates.
- Business Tax Identifier (EIN, or SSN for sole proprietors without an EIN). When you connect SMS or voice features, mobile carriers require us to register your business with The Campaign Registry (TCR) before your text messages can be delivered. As part of this registration, you provide your business Tax Identifier. We forward this value directly to our communications subprocessor (Twilio) for the registration request and do not retain the full value in our systems. We retain only (i) the last four digits of the identifier, so you can recognize which Tax ID is on file when you look at your settings, and (ii) an opaque reference identifier issued by Twilio that lets us manage the registration without re-handling your Tax ID.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time on page).
- Usage metrics within the Service (features used, login times, tenant activity).
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 9.
3.3 SMS and voice data
When you or your end customers send or receive SMS or voice calls through the Service, we process:
- Phone numbers (sender and recipient).
- Message content.
- Call recordings and transcriptions, if enabled.
- Delivery and engagement metadata (delivered, read, replied, opted out).
This data is processed via Twilio, Inc. (our SMS and voice subprocessor) and retained in accordance with Section 6 below. Opt-out requests are honored platform-wide. Once a phone number replies STOP to any message, future messages to that number are blocked across all campaigns on the sending brand.
3.4 Information from third parties
- Authentication data from our identity provider (Clerk) when you sign in using a third-party account option.
- Payment confirmations and dispute data from our payment processor (Stripe).
- Analytics data from Google Analytics 4.
4. How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including authenticating users, delivering features, and displaying content.
- Process payments, send invoices, and bill passthrough costs where applicable.
- Communicate with you about your account, service updates, security notices, policy changes, and support responses.
- Send marketing communications about Service Anchor. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Operate, improve, and develop the Service, including its features and any current or future AI or machine-learning features, by creating and analyzing aggregated and de-identified data that does not identify you or any end customer.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law enforcement.
We do not sell Customer Data or End-Customer Data. We do not use identifiable End-Customer Data for marketing, and we do not disclose one Customer’s End-Customer Data to another Customer. We may create and use aggregated and de-identified data derived from use of the Service to operate, improve, and develop the Service (including its features and any current or future AI or machine-learning features), provided that such data does not identify any Customer or end customer and we do not attempt to re-identify it.
5. How we share information
We share personal data in three limited ways.
5.1 Subprocessors
We use third-party service providers to deliver the Service. Each subprocessor processes only the data needed for its function. The current list, with purpose and location, is:
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Data processed | Location |
|---|---|---|---|

| Clerk, Inc. | Authentication and user session management | Account email, password hash, session tokens | United States |

| Loops.so | Lifecycle and transactional email | Customer email addresses, email content, delivery metadata | United States |
| Resend, Inc. | Transactional email delivery (backup and failover) | Customer email addresses, email content, delivery metadata | United States |

| Functional Software, Inc. (d/b/a Sentry) | Application error tracking and exception aggregation | Stack traces, request URLs, user and tenant identifiers, browser and device metadata, git release SHA | United States |
A current list is also maintained at
getserviceanchor.com/subprocessors. We will update this section and
provide at least 30 days’ notice before material changes that affect
how personal data is processed.
5.2 Legal reasons
We may disclose personal data when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful government request; (b) protect the rights, property, or safety of Service Anchor, our Customers, or others; (c) enforce our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy; or (d) investigate or prevent fraud or abuse.
5.3 Business transfers
If Service Anchor is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance of any such transfer that would change the controller of your data.
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data retention
Customer Data is retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after account closure, at which point it is permanently deleted from our production systems. Backups may retain data for up to 12 additional months before secure destruction.
Business Tax Identifier. Your full business Tax Identifier (EIN or SSN), described in Section 3.1, is not retained by Service Anchor. We forward it to Twilio at the moment you submit it for carrier registration and do not write it to our databases. We retain only the last four digits and the opaque Twilio reference identifier, both for the lifetime of your Twilio integration on your account, and we delete them when you disconnect Twilio.
End-Customer Data is retained in accordance with the data retention policy of the Customer who uploaded it. If the Customer’s account is closed, End-Customer Data is deleted according to the Customer Data schedule above.
Marketing and analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in Google Analytics 4. Shorter retention can be configured by the visitor through browser controls.
Transactional logs, billing records, and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial laws, typically seven (7) years in the United States.
You may request data export or deletion at any time by emailing
privacy@getserviceanchor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7.3 How to exercise these rights
Email privacy@getserviceanchor.com with the request. To protect your data,
we may ask you to verify your identity before we process the request.
If you are an end customer of a Service Anchor Customer, please contact
that Customer first. They are the controller of your data.
8. How we protect your data
We apply commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. These include:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher for all connections to the Service).
- Encryption at rest for production databases.
- Role-based access controls for our staff.
- Audit logging of sensitive actions.
- Vendor due diligence for subprocessors.
Highly sensitive identifiers, including your business Tax Identifier (EIN or SSN) collected for carrier registration under Section 3.1, are handled by pass-through forwarding to the relevant subprocessor at the moment of submission. The full value is never written to our persistent storage. See Section 6 for the related retention rule.
No system is completely secure. We do not guarantee absolute security of
personal data and recommend that you use strong passwords, enable
multi-factor authentication where available, and keep your credentials
private. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact
support@getserviceanchor.com immediately.
In the event of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
